Rev. Sarpong holds a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Ministry from Hartford International University, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Cape Coast. His unique academic journey reflects his multidisciplinary approach to leadership—one that merges theology, justice, communication, and policy. In addition to his pastoral training, he holds certifications in human rights consulting, NGO management, and media strategy, all of which inform his holistic approach to ministry and community service.

Throughout his career, Rev. Sarpong has served in a variety of leadership roles across church, educational, and nonprofit sectors. He is currently the senior pastor for First and Wesley United Methodist Church and Ghana United Methodist Church both in Connecticut, where he provides spiritual leadership, shepherds a diverse congregation, and oversees programs that promote discipleship, inclusion, and social impact. He is also a skilled communicator and digital strategist, known for using technology and media to amplify positive messages, connect with broader audiences, and advocate for systemic change.
